We are proud to announce that Recornea has successfully secured a 2.1 M$ grant funded by the US Government, in particular the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC), on the project “Implantable nitinol corneal implant to combat corneal shape deformations and corneal traumas (NiTi4EYE)”. MTEC represents a public-private collaboration among the United States Government, academic research centers, private industry, philanthropic organizations, and investment firms. The organization is designed and operates to facilitate faster transition from the laboratory to the patient either on the battlefield or at the bedside, and then onward to the global community. This grant from 2025 to 2029 will take us closer to the CE and FDA certifications of the GROSSO Reshaper for keratoconus paving the way for the market launch of our first product in Europe and USA.
